I was down to 2 used car locations in the Grand Rapids area to even consider buying from. I will only mention this one, as this is where I made my purchase. The good (part 1): The dealership was clean, welcoming, and friendly environment, which stood out compared to other used car retailers where vehicle interiors were just dirty. I’ll save that for another review maybe, but it was truly staggering that is even an issue out there. Anyway, the inventory here was a good variety, and pricing was transparent and fit with what my research identified as fair to good value as I already knew what I wanted when I started this process. My man, Keegan, was attentive throughout the process without employing high-pressure sales. The transaction was efficient and seamless, and I did appreciate the lack of traditional price negotiating (“well, let me talk to my manager”, blah blah), as all terms were discussed initially over the phone and finalized in person. The not so good (part 2): There was an issue with the car, but it was discovered unexpectedly, so I don't believe for a minute they sold it knowing of any defect. The GREAT (Part 3): The prompt attention, action, and customer service I received were exceptional—jokingly almost unbefitting of a used car dealership. 😊 Far exceeding what one might typically expect from a used car dealership. I initially anticipated a major hassle and resolution process, back and forth regarding the issue, potential costs, and concerns about being without my this car I literally just bought. However, this was not the case. There was no avoidance of responsibility or shifting of blame. Instead, Keegan engaged in troubleshooting, demonstrating genuine concern for a vehicle they had confidently offered for sale. This was not a situation where they sought to conceal a problem; rather, they immediately assumed responsibility, resolved the issue, and ensured both the car and I were looked after. At no point did I incur additional expenses. They arranged transportation for me and consistently kept me updated on the progress. Their commitment to service was evident throughout, earning not only my continued business but also, as surprising as it is for me to admit, my trust. I cannot be the first or last in having had several poor or horrific experiences purchasing used vehicles from dealerships. My decision to select one of the two dealerships was primarily influenced by their positive reviews. I am diligent in my approach, thoroughly researching, reading reviews, and carefully considering all information before making a decision. Then I nauseatingly repeat the above process for my own piece of mind. While I am uncertain if or when I will need to purchase another car, Keegan and the team have earned my future business (and still haggle). 😊 *I also posted this on their Facebook page.
